About Me

new headshot.jpg

I believe positive relationships and mental well-being are two pillars of happiness and fulfillment. However, all of us face a struggle at one time or another, whether it be a difficult life event or a chronic illness. My mission is to provide clients with a safe space to process thoughts and emotions, increase personal insight, repair and strengthen relationships, and develop effective coping strategies.

I graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Science; followed by a master's degree in Social Work with a Couple and Family Therapy certificate from University of Louisville. I currently hold licensure as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in Kentucky, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Illinois. Although I live in Illinois, I see clients in Kentucky using online therapy.

This dual professional identify as both a Social Worker and a Marriage & Family Therapist serves my clients well because I am able to approach issues from more than one angle. My background in social work allows me to have a more broad understanding of the larger systems affecting my clients and where my role fits in. Additionally, my specialization in Couple and Family Therapy allows me to utilize more clinical, therapeutic skills.

I have experience working with a diverse clientele. I've spent a great deal of time abroad, interacting with people of various nationalities and cultures. I am also LGBTQ+ friendly and have significant experience working with this population. My clients come from a full spectrum of socio-economic statuses and belief systems.
